DONATION INFORMATION

When you choose to donate to the Waco Center for Youth, your donation goes directly back towards helping clients with their treatment.  There are many areas that donations made through the Volunteer Services Council help clients during their treatment.

Examples of this include:

Birthday cakes if a client's birthday happens during their treatment at WCY

Gasoline and/or lodging for family visitations or furloughs

Activity fees such as attending Baylor sporting events

Offsite activities like visits to Waco Zoo or Hawaiian Falls Waterpark in Waco

Another opportunity your donation allows the clients to have is money in their Client Trust Fund.  Each month, the Volunteer Services Council donates $10 per client for personal use in their own account.  The clients get the opportunity to make purchases off-site such as special snacks during events, toys they may want to have on their unit, books, and more.  Clients may also choose to save money for when their family comes to visit.  They take great pride when they can treat their family to dessert offsite and it also helps them have a sense of responsibility.  Need more info?  Contact us here.
